This week the Tea Potters are sending some holiday cheer to Ruth who is having some mobility issues as she ages. Ruth loves to feed the birds, squirrels, turkeys and deer near her home.
Well, the birds have gone south for the winter; the turkeys are still in hiding after their trauma at Thanksgiving; and, the squirrels never show up to work-- they just want to play in the trees. Luckily, the deer have plenty of holiday spirit and showed up in force to help decorate the tree. They will be done as soon as Rudolf adds that star to the top.
I originally masked and stamped the reindeer, the main tree and then the smaller ones onto cs. The deer were getting lost in the tree branches, however, so I stamped and fussy cut them so they would stand out a bit. I SHOULD have die cut my wonky frame, but never taking the easy way I thought I would create a gold stickle garland on the tree first so it could dry while I worked on the other parts. DUH! Yeah, I didn't have the patience to wait til it was fully dry, so I went ahead and die cut which did flatten the garland a bit. Punched circles from the glitter papers and once they were glued on I added a drop of gold Stickles at the top of each as an ornament hook/thingamagig. Framed with red glitter paper for a bit more decorative oomph and done.
I hope Ruth enjoys her cards and that they lift here spirits and bring holiday cheer to her home. I hope you are having a great day and have lots of help if you're decorating. If you like, I think Rudolf and friends are available. TFL

Oh, I've been there with the cutting after adding things like glitter and even Liquid Pearls. Hindsight is always a great thing! That was a lot of work to mask and then fussy-cut the deer! If I get as far as decorating I think I'll pass on the help ;-), they look as if the tree might just come down with them when they unstack!! What a fun card.

Beautiful as well as so darn sweet! Love your coloring and shading! Your idea and carry-through are superb. You have a clever eye for design and your description of how you arrived at the end is heartwarming...
