What a great challenge - I found it so hard to decide what way to go. In the end I used butterfly DP to create a Floating Strips (Floating Strips Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers ) circle, from which I cut a larger butterfly shape. I put the acetate over a sheet of grid paper, which makes lining the strips up evenly easy to do.
I stuck the solid green butterfly to the card base and attached the gold outline at the body only. Added a die-cut sentiment, and since it looked a little bare I trawled through my box and found just enigh gold corner stickers.

Gorgeous! Love the technique and the pretty paper you used. The green & gold butterfly is stunning. The gold corners are a wonderful touch. Beautiful card!

Sabrina, this amazing butterfly card was in my mailbox yesterday and I cannot say how much I love it. The floating technique makes it magical. It inspires me to do it someday. I think I have done once.
Your personal message inside was also lovely. Thank you so much.
