It looks so real...how in the world did you achieve such dimension? PLEASE..more details...what color e.p.? is the shell stamped separately? I don't know what to say. It's QUITE a masterpiece. You've got my vote.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Mary, I used to have turtles as a kid (a hundred years ago) so I know what their shells really look like.
I stamped the shell separate on confetti cream paper with choc chip craft ink and clear embossed. Cut it out.
It was too light so I used the artichoke marker to color in the shell as well as the legs, feet and tail of the main image, then sponged.
Then shape the shell...on the underside of the shell, I made kind of a straight line down the center of the shell with my stylus to get some definition, then used a rounded tool and foam mat to round the underside of the shell. I cut up dimensionals pretty small and piled 3 high on each side up by the center and one high at the bottom. Then I used my fingers to shape the shell some more, tore off the dimensional liners and attached over the top of the other embossed turtle.
I did pretty much the same thing with the fish only I added some lighter greens on the body (can't really tell in the picture). This is probably clear as mud but hope it helps a little, it really isn't hard just a little putsy the first time. Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
