Featured Stamper honoring Leslie. Her gallery is so beautiful. I had a tough choice. This one sparked my interest for a birthday card I needed. I loved her vibrant paper, pretty colors and terrific card design.
I wanted to use this new stamp set and DSP bundle. My sweet friend loves birds, flowers and the color lavender. She is a stamper so I like to do something different and/or new for her. As a little birthday surprise, I did not attach the ribbon so she can pull it off and use it herself. I used the partial die-cutting technique to extend the length of the banner to fit the sentiment. Wink of Stella was applied to parts of the image so it glimmers like the vellum. My friend will so love this one.
Changes: colors, papers, vellum, used image in circle instead of paper, sentiment on circle in a banner; same theme and card design.
This is the first time I have used this set. My color choices came from the papers. I think I will need more Blends markers.
Thank you Leslie for sharing your wonderful cards with us and for inspiring mine today!

Diane, your coloring is beautiful and I just love your idea to leave your ribbon unattached so your friend will not only have this beautiful birthday card as a gift, but you have gifted her with that very pretty ribbon for her to use!

Your colors look beautiful together as do the patterns. Perfect color combo for your sweet bird to pose upon. Love the beautiful ribbon. I think your friend will more than love this...so bright and cheery. Fabulous card.

What delightfully cheery colours you've used - I'm such a big fan of birds. We've just come through a bitterly cold spell where our back yard birds have almost eaten through 40 lbs of sunflower seeds. But the landscape here is not as cheery as your card - rather bleak and wintry here so I love the springy feel of your card. Isn't it fun to make a card for a fellow stamper - just knowing it will be looked at with the eyes of a cardmaker and all the details appreciated. TFS
