I'm happy to be hosting our second week of Christmas in July for this week's Color Challenge. I went back to the basics with Basic Black, Basic White and Real Red. Dessert for the whole month is Christmas.
I chose these colors just before I had my first peek at Stampin' Up's 2021 holiday products but was thrilled to find a black and white check ribbon in the Halloween suite to mix in with a few other new things.
The cabin and trees images are considered distinctive stamps which mean that they have gradations of whichever color you choose to ink them. All of my stamping is done with black ink. I added a skinny black die cut tree for a little more emphasis of the black. I layered two die cut cabins and used dimensional for a sturdy popped up scene. I loved the idea of snowflakes over the red/gray/black plaid DSP and thought I just had to use it for this challenge. I'm looking forward to using this for a make and take when my team gets together for some Christmas in July stamping this weekend.
Thanks for looking!
Whether you decide to feature the holidays or go dessert free and make a card for another occasion, we would love to see your work with these colors in the gallery this week.

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! This card hits all the right notes - clean, simple and an eye-popper. Love the red snowflake pp paired with the simple black & white design. And that gingham ribbon finishes it to perfection.
This is a card I must CASE, just so I remember how lovely your design is. A+++++ from me! TFS
