My favourite cards to make are Christmas cards, my favourite colour is blue, and one of my favourite themes is animals. And I love trying new techniques to create backgrounds.
This background is created by using blue interference Perfect Pearls - sprinkled on my craft mat, spritzed with water, and then I smooshed into it with black watercolour paper. Hopefully you can see some of the shimmer in the photo. I added the die cut reindeer, stamped the sentiment in a similar blue, and had the perfect shade of blue shimmer cardstock for the base.

Gorgeous Christmas card...encompassing your favorites, Susan. The bg is spectacular....TFS how you did it. Love the contrast of the deep dark and the sparkling white.

Wow awesome card! Love that effect of smooshing the peals ink on the black CS. You created a really unique night sky. I just purchased some pearl ink so am looking forward to seeing what I can create. Always love your Christmas cards!

Absolutely gorgeous - that blue interference PP background on black is stunning, and especially with all the white - really makes it pop!
p.s. I’m with you on your faves - blue rules, and any critter on a card always draws me in!
