A big congrats to Melissa, the newest Featured Stamper! I chose THIS case. I kept the Christmas theme w/ the stockings on the fireplace, but I used different images & dies & left off the lace trim.
For my card, I had this Santa image already colored & tucked away, because after I colored it, I dropped the inked stamp on the top of it & ruined it. Anyway, I was able to salvage the lower half of Santa & his bag of toys, which I fussy cut. The fireplace was die cut & I used a brick stencil on it. The rest of the brick wall, was stamped, sponged & a few Copics were used to help color in the bricks.
I elevated the fireplace in order to place Santa inside it then attached the brick wall behind it. The lower half of the brick (inside the fireplace) was sponged w/ darker inks to make it fade into the background. I also fussy cut Santaâs hat & added it just above the greeting.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ Copic colors & links: The Write Stuff

Julie, this is a WOW Christmas card and great case of Melissa's card. There are so many elements to look at. I had to take a little time to take it all in. Beautiful.

Beautiful stenciling to create the brick design .... love your idea of adding Santa's hat to your sentiment!!
