Jen is our hostess for Teapot Tuesday this week - you'll find her challenge HERE along with information about Mia who loves shoes, bright colours, shoes, shoes...
Well, I'd used my only shoe stamp for the recent Tickle a Teapotter when we went to the Kentucky Derby, because what was a fancy hat without shoes to go with it. And I could have used it again, but I broke the mould and made a very un-me card.
Found a free shoe template, downloaded it and cut the heel from gold glitter card, the rest from some textured pink metallic card. I used two old papers from Clairefontaine for the front and inside, cutting a diagonal border along the front. The shoe looked pretty OK, but I decided to spring for the extra postage and added a deep purple ribbon rose, and a line of bling along the back. Round the corner of the inside panel I wrapped some ribbon and a little buckle which hadn't worked on the shoe. I'll add a photo of the inside in the challenge thread - I used some vellum sentiments from Anita and some stickers. I've done very well on using old stash today .

What glamour, what lovely sparkle and what texture you've created for Mia! Love the way you used the Botanical Builder border ... I always struggle to think how to include it in a design!

That textured pink paper caught my eye. Before reading your description I was picturing careful masonry work with a palette knife in texture paste building the basket weave pattern. The other paper looks like it is stickled in a random rainbow pattern. I want to run my hand over it!
Lots of beauty, glam and fun in this card.

Oh my gosh, Sabrina, this is soooooo pretty and soooo creative. Wow. I love that shoe and that buckle in the corner on your very cool panel. This is super cool and interesting and well done. She will flip over it and probably wish she had a pair just like it. The fact that it is from Ireland will be extra icing on this yummy thing as well. Lovely. Thanks!!!! Hugz

Sabrina, Mia called me this week and told me these cards have been such a thrill for her. Her recovery is going to be long and hard, and she feels the cards have so helped her spirit. She cried as she talked about them so I know they touched her heart. Thanks for making this and sending it. GEtting a card from Ireland is special and something made by you even more special. Hugz - lots of them.
