I made this card for this week's Featured Stamper who is Betty (gabbygal). I am so excited to see Betty being honored like this. I had a wonderful time going through Betty's extensive gallery (a couple of times), and when I spotted this beauty, my search was over: You're Special by gabbygal at Splitcoaststampers.
Instead of using the pretty distressed layer Betty did, I made a panel using a stencil and silver ink. I set this aside to dry and spent a little time stamping the 7 layers to this flower and 3 layers for each leaf, then die cutting everything. This is a really fun flower to watch come to life with each layer of stamping so the time goes by very quickly. I die cut all the pieces and layered them in the corner the way Betty did. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and die cut the word thanks from black cardstock. Adhered the stenciled layer to the cardbase, then assembled and adhered the flower pieces into place. I would never have been able to make this card without first seeing Betty's wonderful inspiration card.
Enjoy your well-deserved week in the spotlight Betty and thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration, and thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Beautiful card and love the multi-step stamping flower. It is such a beautiful one. Wish it was in my flower beds.
