Card for this week's Teapot Challenge, Bright and Cheery. Our colorful cards will brighten the days for a young girl who is spending time in the hospital.
I'm not sure what to call the technique I used to create the background--I can never get a napkin and plastic wrap to cooperate for the Felted Napkin technique! I glued this napkin to a piece of cardstock with ModPodge! It gives it a wrinkled, sort-of faux silk look. I "pulled" some of the colors from the napkin for the butterflies and CS layers.
The sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and heat-embossed with the Black Sparkle EP. It has a lot of colors in it, when you tip it into the light.

Ooh, what a cool napkin this is Liz! You find the best napkins! I love the 70's vibe this card has with the paisley patterns and bold colors. This trio of bright butterflies is sure to bring a smile to RaiLynn's face, and give her some hope too. Your embossed heartfelt sentiment really completes this card so nicely. ~Karen.
