I needed a card for a friend just diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had a tough last few years losing her parents and her husband.
The color challenge was perfect for this card. I wanted it to be elegant but kind of a bit rustic. Loved the monochromatic colors with the option of a neutral.
Heat embossed the vine after stamping with versamark. Then added more embossing around the edges. Then I did a water color wash and let that dry. Next I added some distress ink. Splashed the whole thing with water and then dabbed it with a paper towel. The water took the distress ink off in spots and whitened my embossing back up.
A good card to make at 4:00AM - the heat embossing noise and the pretty vintage effect woke me right up.

This is so beautiful. My favorite cards are those that lean on color. I'm sorry about your friend and pray she will do well. This card is sure to touch her. As for the early morning/late night stamping- I am there with you. Especially lately, I just keep making things.
