Sabrina is hosting this fun "Last Tickle a Teapotter" for 2019. After failing miserably at a proper easel fold, I decided to make a cardstock/acetate easel, using a real little wooden easel as a template.
The frame is made with cardstock from my stash, made by dragging ink pads directly over cardstock. I reinforced it with kraft card to ompf up the strength. The acetate is from a packaging box, I used my ScorPal to get a good strong fold.
The front legs are adhered to the acetate and the back leg just rests against the outside back of the acetate. Does that make sense, it's so hot here, nothing much is making sense LOL.
I made Mandy Monet a little hat and added a long bow to look like an artistes smock. The original digi image has her holding a flower, I tried to turn it into a paint brush, but looking at the picture it looks more like a pitch fork. Mandy is adhered to a small strip of acetate, the strip is only adhered to the base, from her hips down, the painting slides in behind her.
The weirdo arty painting was made by sprinkling Brusho powder onto glossy photo paper and then squirting it with ironing spray starch. The starch isn't as wet as water, also a spray can seems to move the Brusho powder move effectively than a water spritzer.
The painting sits on the easel as the cross bar has some depth between the acetate. If the Teapotter who receives this isn't into weirdo arty stuff, it can quickly be replaced with something more pleasing.
I can't wait to see what the new decade of wonderful teaparties brings. Thank you for looking and Happy New Year.
