WOW, Brenda...what a fascinating Pinterest Board! Who knew? Not me. But I love those needle minders. And I could see a serious new collector category in my future IF I hadn't issued a moratorium on myself!
I immediately thought of this panel I had done years ago, but never finished. The Blessed stamp was a Michaels coupon just because I loved the positive sentiment. And then I probably acquired the Tim Holtz 'Sewing' die cuts which includes a button, spool, along with the dressmaker model. I used the die cut as a stencil for my panel. Splattered some Silks paint over the background.
Here is my inspiration buttons and needle. I could add a needle, a few buttons, a measure of DMC Black thread and finally I could bring my blessed to the gallery.
I can't wait to see what inspired you! I've really felt the love of my grandmother, who nurtured my artist side today. I can't help but smile with loving thoughts of her.
Have an amazingly creative day~o.
I am editing to add...my card does not have the random white edges. I am not sure why it photographed that way. Could be glue sticky I had on my fingers as I creased the fold. It is all black IRL.

what a wonderful inspired design Susan! I didn't see the dress maker model shadow there until I looked back to see about the white on the black (how funny! something must be reflecting off it for the camera!!) Love that watery background and your super millinery stamps! and, of course, the threaded needle!

You are so creative and I love you have your grandmother's buttons and even used a needle and thread. Glad you finally got to use your "Blessed". Well, that glue may have just done that thing to your photo but I like it just as it looks.

This is a wonderful card, and I enjoyed reading how this came about! My mother was always working on something either sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc. I sure hope it is not a lost art!
I inherited my mother’s leather sewing box of scraps of lace and ribbon. I do go in there to look for something to use on a card.

What a gorgeous card! I though it was a bird outline when I looked at the the thumbnail in the gallery - what a surprise to see it was a needle and thread!! Sooo stinkin' creative. WHat a great card and fun way to capture the Pinterest inspiration board!

Into my favorites. I have that stamp and you have given me a great idea for agape gifts I do for Emmaus weekends. Awesome.
