This is my card for the current Teapot Challenge, where we are sending cards to brighten the day of Shelley, who has breast cancer. She likes the color yellow so I made a card with a bright yellow flower. The challenge theme is to use a sketch, so a strolled back through the fabulous SCS Sketch Challenges for the last few years and found SC518 that would work well for my card.
To start I added a panel die cut with a leaf cover die to the white card base. I just love white on white because it can add great texture and interest but not overtake the main image. For the main image, I stamped the sentiment, die cut a scallop square with the sentiment and added the mini floral bouquet. Then I realized I hadn't planned very well and left this large empty space on my square. Sooo, I decided to use some of the very uplifting sentiments from pre-printed Sentiment Strips panels, popping them up on thin adhesive foam square pieces. I added a few sequins to fill in spaces on the die cut background and called it done.
Thanks so much for looking!
Stef

This is just exceptional. I love that leaf die cut..it adds so much interest. And the yellow flower is so pretty! Those sayings are perfect....glad you had room for them.

Oh my goodness Stef, your cards should come with a warning. As a result of my jaw hitting the table, I fell off my chair. Gosh this is exquisite. Thanks for sharing your process and your amazing talent.

Wow, gorgeous, Stef! I'd have added this to my favourites list on Sunday if I'd had more time to catch up with the gallery before now. The leaf die is fab, and your colours just sing.
