I always make special cards for my son's on their birthdays, so Carolin's challenge to use washi tape was perfect for birthday candles. I found a tutorial for a card in a box on pinterest...it was surprisingly easy. I added clear acetate to the inserts so I could make the colored images at different heights. All the images are digi stamps that I colored and fussy cut. I can't make simple cards or masculine cards, so my sons are used to getting "everything but the kitchen sink " , very elaborate cards. Even though this looks like it is for a 5 year old, my son is turning 22. I hope you play a long in this fun F4A challenge.

Sensational birthday box! I love this very cool creation and all its bright colors and pop ups, awesome washi tape candles. Wow, what a card! Any one of my 3 sons (28, 34, 39) would love something like this, so it doesn't have to be for a little kid.

Well, I have a 10 yr. old sitting beside me oohing and ahing over this and wondering how you made it. He thinks it is fabulous and he is not the only one. It looks very time consuming to me but so worth it. I bet your son loved it and told his mom she has so much talent.
