It's tickle a teapotter time! And we're tickling each other with cards based on our favorite children's story. You can see my favorite childhood book in my photo--Grover's New Kitten. I had it memorized. This is not actually my book from when I was little. I found a copy online so I could read it to my boys. How could you not love this book? Look at the cute pictures of Grover and his little kitten (her name is Ginger). I used this Tiddly Inks digi because the little kitten playing with the fish toy reminded me of Ginger playing with her toy. I colored her to look like Ginger and I sponged the background with blue to make it Grover colored. Finished off with a pink yarn bow to match Ginger's toy.

OH GROVER...I have not heard of him in years....I can see why you liked that book, looks so cute. Sesame street was one of my shows I would watch growing up...he and Oscar were my fav. characters on there. Great card fro the story...this lil ginger kitty looks mischievous and like he is having fun..lovely job...TFs..:0)

While I haven't read the book I've always loved Grover! I still have a little plastic figurine of Grover on the windowsill at the cottage. Sweet kitty doing very cat things in your window frame. Love the colouring of her stripes! You do such great things with digital images! Do you print with an ink jet or laser printer?

Your delightful card is pure purrfection my friend. I adore these kitten images you have colored so beautifully to represent Grover's friend Ginger. The newsprint bg is also perfect for this card and gives you extra cookies too- yum! Where is cookie monster now for the extra cookies? Better watch out! This is so much fun and a truly delightful card for this wonderful challenge. ~Karen.

Haven't heard of this one - but I would have loved it - because of the cats and kittens. Love the way you have used the coloured newspaper as the background.
