Hi friends,
Well I chose something that really appealed to me because of the color and I sat and thought about how I might be able to do it and came up with this. It's not as good as I hoped but a lot better than my first try! LOL!! My inspriation was this
This is really the first time I've tried the crayons I bought a year or more ago because of my sistah Susie!! Haha, I loved the way she used them on those beautiful fancy dresses she did! Wow, she makes it look easy!
Anyway, I thought I'd give them a try today...They are pretty cool!
EDIT: So I am including a few instructions by request from our Tlady.
I blended the Distress crayons first after deciding where I wanted the horizon line (went with the 2/3 rule) I used my finger to blend, filled in where needed then decided where to put the main trees. I didn't want them all on the horizon line (like I did on the first try, dumb!) so I drew in small lines to help me plan. I used the magic powder over the crayons because I didn't want the blue foil to stick to EVERYTHING! I stamped my trees upside down and embossed, I then sponged the sky to be more of a real sunset sky like I thought I saw in the painting then I heat set because I used Distress Oxide Ink and used the magic powder as well. I stamped the trees again right-side-up using black VersaFine and clear EP. I got down to worms view to try and line the trucks up the best I could. I did use a Black Sharpie in a couple places it a blue shadow did not have a black corresponding branch. Done, except the sentiment which is just plain black on white cardstock and cut out.
Thanks for looking!
