This is for today's inspiration challenge IC690 - Fine art America. This is my inspiration print Summer poppy canvas print
This took me a long time to create.
Will be back later with the details...
Poppies were stamped onto water colour paper and originally coloured with Tombo markers. This was in my stash. I saw the Poppy print on the IC site and thought mine would work perfectly for the challenge. I decided to apply Gesso to the image, some of the colour ran a bit. I dried the image with the heat gun, applied another layer of gesso and dried it. Stamped the canvas background over image using Antique Linen ink. I decided to paint overtop of the poppy image using Artist Loft watercolour paints. Added dots and highlights with white gel pen. Placed stencil over top, used creamy caramel and bravo burgundy inks. I left the stencil on and applied texture paste to the top part of the stencil. Let dry and sponged on inks. Cut card to size. Sponged around edges with bravo burgundy and then used burgundy embossing powder around edges. Found the sentiment in my stash - sponged on caramel and burgundy inks. Popped up sentiment and image panel.
Hugs, Pat

This is wonderful, Pat! Whew! I'm tired just reading all you did! I know (only too well) how it is when you just keep going. But your result was well worth it & it turned out beautifully.
