Goodness, two very thought provoking challenges this week in the MIX and the Featured Stamper:cnsteele.
Marilyn asked us to Leaf me alone to make art (MIX302) with some great techniques to accomplish mixed media. In the end, I went with embossing one very special leaf using UTEE.
Ardyth selected Nicole (cnsteele) as our FS614. I took my time walking through Nicoles' galley. She has many, many creative cards. And I saved a few to ponder in the future. It was this one Stamped Leaf by cnsteele that caught my eye. I loved Nicole's use of the French Script bg, the one big leaf, and the lovely sentiment in a square shape. The vellum was also nice. And so, I kept the single leaf, a square quote. I changed the style to CAS, a real preserved leaf, and a quote.
Do you like to experiment when you are creating? I enjoyed watching the technique videos, but I wanted to see if I can preserve this leaf with a whooping big dose of UTEE. I suspect it will crumble...will report back. Thanks for stopping by.
And Nicole, you are a talented stamper...enjoy this week in your honor!
