Love this sketch from Carey. Really simple and fun! I love the look of tall skinny cards, but I don't make them that often. Yesterday my mother-in-law asked me if I had any sympathy cards. I didn't, so I promised her that I would make her one this morning. Anyone who babysits my kids gets all the cards they want! I thought Lovely As A Tree would be great for the tall card, but then I did have some blank space at the top. So I stamped some stars with Itty Bitty Backgrounds. I was going to do TLC57 here which is "Resist Resist". It was emboss some images with clear EP (which I did) and then just stamp some with Versa Mark and then brayer over with ink. But after I embossed and stamped, I realized that I didn't want to apply the ink. So, I'll have to save that technique for another time. To finish this card, I sponged some edges and antiqued my bottom section with some sponging and a Script background stamp. I chose this cream colored ribbon that I thought would be great, but it was a little thick to tie a bow, so I tied a knot. Now I have to give my MIL a special stamp because that knot won't make it through the machine at the post office.

A super tall sympathy card, Jenn - I love the addition of the itty bitty stamping - the most versatile set of stamps - and I love the sponged bottom panel with the cream ribbon!

Just when I thought there wasn't much new to come up with as far as my all-time favorite SU set goes, here I see this stunner in your gallery! PERFECTION!
