I think I've finally found which of my photo papers works well to make an oxidised DOX background and then removed the oxidation - my HP of which I have a ton is useless, but my Ilford Satin is working well, I built up a base using about eight different colours and letting each layer dry.
THen I stencilled overit with more DOX (twisted citron, mermaid lagoon, dusty concord) using a Joanna Sheen stencil. Flowering Flourishes stamped in white, and sentiment from Simply Sketched in Ranger's Archival black.
Base scored at ½" and ⅜" in from edge to create a frame.
Penny Black Perched on Lace stamped and embossed with white on vellum. Fussy-cut and coloured from behind with Brusho powders and minimal water.

Wow, Sabrina. This is so super pretty! Delicate and lovely details and the butterflies fit perfectly. Thanks for playing and for the tips.

Awesome background! Now I know how I am going to use some of my distress backgrounds. they need some stenciling! It really kicks them up a notch from what I'm guessing you've done here!

Oh my word...this is just lovely...absolutely lovely. The colors are so dreamy and I love the way the stenciling just enhances it. Great job my friend!
