So glad to see Selma as the FS this week. Back a few years ago, I fell in love with handmade flowers and Selma was such a great resource for me and she helped me with much advice. Such a sweetheart. Her cards are full of gorgeous flowers.
I needed a tag to give to my Physical Therapist Assistant - this is my last week and I was going to bring her some chocolates and snacks. She was such a help.
I used her corner arrangement but added a few more flowers and changed the colors and went with a tag. I really wanted a butterfly but my die is lost in the craft room and no time to go find it. I also went with a super small sentiment since that stamp set was still on my counter. I really am the laziest crafter!
Congrats Selma and thanks for all your inspiration!!!!

Nancy, I was drawn in to take a closer look to see this wonderful tag! The embossed element is really emphasized by the inking and it gives it such a cool, vintage look, I love it. Your rolled flowers and leaves are so realistic, I'm a huge lover of flowers and leaves. I especially admire the coloring on your larger leaves, it's absolutely beautiful. Anyone would be proud and blessed to receive such a stunning tag!
Thank you so much for your kind comment on my cross-stitched birthday card--it's such a boost and an encouragement when other card-makers take the time and trouble to look at one of my cards and then to leave a comment really makes me so happy, thank you! I am such an admirer of your artwork, your work has such beauty and depth plus you have such talent in so many areas and styles of cardmaking--I learn so much from seeing your work, and I appreciate that more than I can say.
Regarding the Paper Smooches cross-stitch die, I should mention that there's been almost a proliferation of cross-stitch dies to hit the market lately. Jennifer McGuire introduced me to the Paper Smooches rectangular cross-stitch die I used for the card you left a comment recently and a previous upload of a card for my Mom's 80th birthday. Paper Smooches has since released a rectangle and a circle cross-stitch dies--except those have larger holes that are a little further apart, and as such it takes less time to complete the project. As well, Altenew has released a cross-stitch die with holes much smaller and much closer together plus a peg-board die with similar holes but they are much larger and farther apart--similar to the Paper Smooches die. My Favorite Things has released a similar rectangle cross-stitch die and as well 2 cross-stitch tag dies (one with a plain edge and one with a scalloped edge), and most recently a bookmark cross-stitch die. I have the Altenew dies and the Paper Smooches 3 cross-stitch dies and the MFT plain tag cross-stitch die and have ordered the bookmark cross-stitch die. I have made a lot of bookmarks in the past, mainly bible verse bookmarks, and I'm excited to see what I can make with the cross-stitch bookmark die. My Mom and many of her friends are very expert cross-stitchers, why I have bought the circle and square and the tag dies--so that I can make a host of different types of hand-stitched cards and projects for them because I'm enjoying stitching even on a very basic, elementary style for them and I find that when I'm not up to making cards, when I have to be resting, I can still sometimes do some hand-stitching, and at least I'm making part of the card... I just wanted to let you know that there are MANY options now for purchasing a die to create hand-stitching on a card. If you just wanted a single line or two, Paper Smooches has a Dots and Dashes die set and Studio Katia has created some dies that can be put together in various configurations for frames, etc and hand-stitched. LOTS of hand-stitching options! Also Frantic Stamper has a cross-stitch die and probably lots of others... I hope this helps. Probably should have left this in a private message, sorry.
Thank you again for encouraging me with your kind comment on my hand-stitched card, it means a great deal!!!
