This is my card for CC695. Barbara is our hostess and she has chosen powder pink, highland heather and balmy blue for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is to make your own dsp.
I donÂ’t have the highland heather or balmy blue colors yet. I am still working on the StampinÂ’-Up color revamp. I have the new gorgeous grape so that was my sub there and for the balmy blue I used baja breeze.
I need a wedding card and I thought these colors would work. Stamped my background flowers with the Verve “be blessed” set. I didn’t want the background stamping covered up with my image panel, so I used vellum and die cut a heart.
The stitched heart, wedding bells & bow, and love phrase are all dies from CottageCutz. The forever and always is part of a wedding sentiment from Great Impressions Stamps. I just taped off the part I didnÂ’t want and used my stamp-a-ma jig for placement.
Since I added some ribbon I also decided to add a small bow and my card is finished.
Hope you can play along with us this week. We have some lovely new colors to use and you can stamp your own designer paper! ThatÂ’s always fun!

Your bow is so perfectly tied, and I love love love the little pearl accent on it. Everything comes together perfectly on this card - the die cuts, the matching colors, the vellum heart that unifies everything (literally and symbolically lol), the matching word pair in two font sizes. Beautiful wedding card, and great way to create a card you need AND knock off a challenge at the same time. With such heart.
