This card worked for 3 challenges but the main reason for the card was to honor a very special young man who graduated from the police academy today...he starts work with the Tustin police on Monday. For the F4A challenge, I live in Calif. and Washington state is our neighbor. They have 16 historic lighthouses. When I was a kid my family took a driving vacation and we saw many of those lighthouses, so I used this card for the WT summertime theme. Finally, this is an easel card using scoring for the CT0618. Oh my! Wouldn't it be amazing to see a real lighthouse like this - it's just gorgeous. When I was growing up, if I climbed up the big pine-tree outside my bedroom I could see the lights from three lighthouses flashing away. I know it was a really tough life for the keepers, but it takes a little of the romance away now that they are all automated. This card brings all that romance and wonder back. My dream is to stay in one, I know some are refurbished as holiday rentals but I'm sure they're way beyond our budget.

Francie, your coloring alone is fabulous! There is just so much depth and dimension, and of course, your colors are glorious! I love lighthouses too, and what a wonderful card for this young man who will serve to protect and defend. You are so special to make this for him. I love it! Hugs and love! xoxo
