I had this piece left over from another challenge. I was going to try the ghosting technique, but I guess it has to be done right away after inking. So I wiped off the trees and decided to stamp again in Archival Black, then clear embossed.
Stamped sentiment and cut ends with scissors to look like banner.

Oh, how pretty. Of course, the trees look good always, but this soft background really lets them stand out. I have a couple of 2nd and 3rd lifts of color from wrinkle free distress backgrounds that are pale like this. I may have to try the trees with them. You are inspiring!

What a beautiful background, Carolyn! The colors are fabulous, and I will always keep this stamp set...I love the trees that are so versatile. What a great sketch card, and it's a card that will be loved! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Your background is so very PRETTY, Carolyn. I love its soft, muted shades....such lovely colors together. Your black edging and fig really enhance the bg colors and don't allow the soft pinky tones to fade away.
Love the black silhouetted trees (still a favorites of mine). They are so peaceful and restful. Yes, a lovely sympathy card!
