This is my card for Pat's Sending ComfortTPT challenge. We are sending comfort to members of sweet Robin's family who recently suffered a tragic loss. So hard to make a card, even harder to find words! But comfort made me think of quilts. I made this one with stars and hearts, and added the Inuit proverb inside "Perhaps they are not stars but but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy." I hope that's not inappropriate.
IO Lace background stamped with Hickory Smoke DOX on white card. Flowering Flourishes stamped over in Versafine Smokey Grey, sentiment from Open Heart embossed in black.
WhipperSnapper Homespun Quilts, blocks stamped in black and embossed on watercolour paper, then coloured with chipped sapphire re-inker and violet Brusho. Spattered with gold Twinkling H2O. Stars and hearts coloured with Twinkling H2Os. Surrounded with a Delicate Details border stamped and embossed in gold, sponged with Antique Linen distress. Quilt popped up on foam.

Oh my, is this ever pretty, Sabrina! Love your gold splatters on the brusho (which has such depth and color variation) colored quilt pieces! Beautiful card with a most appropriate sentiment, both inside and outside~

What a stunning card. It's so beautiful and will be cherished by the recipient. I think the sentiment was appropriate. Sorry you had to make a card for such a sad occasion.

Sabrina this is absolutely beautiful. The quilt and the lacy BG work beautifully. I love the stunning blue in the quilt. This sentiment is so perfect. I am having trouble coming up with the right words to say in this card. This sentiment is echoing what I am feeling.

Oh, Sabrina, this is gorgeous! I love your quilt and the richness of the blue along with the great blocks and border. What a perfect background too with these IO backgrounds. This is going to be dearly loved and will bring great comfort. These are probably the hardest cards to have to make, but they are also the ones that mean so much to those who are hurting. I love it, and the family will love it and cherish it. Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

What an incredibly stunning quilt card this is Sabrina. I'm not sure why, but this card makes me smile; especially with the fabulous sentiment you added inside the card (I love that!). The detail you incorporate into your cards is so inspiring and leaves me speechless. I love this gorgeous bg you created, then the embossed lacy pattern around this boldly stamped, embossed and colored quilt that is absolutely perfect for a child. I can imagine the family truly loving and admiring this card long after they receive it. ~Karen.
