I am almost too late for last week's Tea Party, but I guess someone needs to take up the tail. For this tea party, Sabrina chose the theme, "Let's Get This Show on The Road." I decided to go antiquing by choosing this gorgeous blue china pattern with doily and fancy table cloth. As some of you know, my mother passed away the day after Easter and we were recently going through her china which is a gorgeous shade of blue, and her favorite color. So that started the theme of this card for me. I wanted to play with this Altenew stamp set I had not had time to play with and I thought this was the perfect time to do it. Carlene is a very dear Alphabet sister so I simply had to play along. Thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

I'm sure that Carlene will really appreciate the memories bound up in this - how lovely that in all the difficulty and emotion of going through your mother's stuff, her china inspired this beautiful card. The damask-style background looks great with the decorative floral frame.

LOVE these beautiful blue roses and lacy, stitched framing. The damask pp if a beautiful background and sets the roses off to perfection. Love it!!! I am so sorry to hear about your Mom...I know it has been a difficult year. I hope making this card and remembering her brought you comforting memories of her. Know that she rests now in a far better place...prayers to you and your family.
