Using my technique of alcohol inks on acetate again - so fun to do (can you say addictive? Ha!) Thanks Susan (at CAS mix-up Challenge) for the inspiration!! I found that it worked best for me if I just put some dots of ink in multiple places on the foil, smooshed the acetate, and then repeated this till I liked the results. I had to hold the acetate against a white bg to actually see how it looked and to decide when I was satisfied. As this dried I die cut a rectangle from a piece of cs the same size as my card front and then attached the acetate to my card front. Die cut my dragonflies, and then stamped sentiment. Attached all to the card front. Love how shiny the acetate looks but of course you can't see this in the photo. Added some sparkly dots to the dragonflies.

I can always count on something spectacular from you, Maura. That acetate bg looks like it is liquid swirling around. The dragonflies are perfect because they do not hide the lovely bg. Pinned for inspiration to try that bg technique.

Oh, how beautiful your background is! So clean and crisp with the white. Love the dragonflies, and the semi-transparent dots you added are the perfect colors and really finish it off nicely. I'm glad you shared this with us at Double D!

Oh, Maura, this card is striking! I love the beautiful acetate panel that you created with alcohol ink (never tried this on acetate). It looks gorgeous behind the cut out on card front. I love the gorgeous dragonflies and turquoise sentiment. Great artwork, Maura! Hugs!

How do your hands look, heehee! Every time I play with my alcohol inks my hands look like a disaster and I have to go wash my hair, LOL!! Shampoo does the trick! No wonder I can never keep the color in my hair!!!
Your card is beautiful Maura!! I so love your bg and the dragonflies with those matching baubles are amazing looking! Thanks for playing!
