Loved the colors in this image here and have loved playing with mixed media.
Die cut my bird and then sponged, stamped with some grunge stamps and sponged some black around the edges for definition. Die cut the leaves in black. On front panel: I used a variety of sponging, stenciling, and stamping till I was satisfied. Spread some white gesso around the spot where I was going to put the bird, and sponged some black ink and some white pigment ink around the edges of the card. Splattered the panel with white paint and some black, stamped the sentiment, and rounded the upper right corner. Attached the leaves and then the bird with dimensional tape.

This is drop dear GORGEOUS! I love EVERYTHING about it. Caught my eye in the Sisterhood gallery and when I saw it full size, I had to swoon a little. Really wonderful composition!

Oh, Maura! This is GORGEOUS! I agree with Stacy that you blend colors so beautifully, and I love how the bird stand out! Stunning! And what a beautiful sentiment...I love that one...it's so true! Beautifully done, sweet friend! I LOVE it! Warm, sunny hugs!
