This is my sample for CC678. Barbara is our hostess and she has chosen night of navy, tangerine tango and melon mambo. Dessert Option this week is bling.
I needed a birthday for a young teenage girl, so I was looking for something modern and chic. I saw this card on Pinterest and used it as my inspiration this week. I changed the colors, added designer paper at the bottom, used different elements and also a die for part of my happy birthday greeting.
Cut the squares in the 3 challenge colors with a double stitched die from CottageCutz. The designer paper is from Stampin’-Up – the tangerine tango is part of the Sycamore Street collection and the melon mambo is part of the Pop of Pink specialty paper. I used a striped embossing folder on my night of navy piece at the card bottom.
To finish my card, I added my happy birthday sentiment and some glitter enamel dots for the bling part of this challenge.
Hope you can play along with our bright colors this week. The gallery will be ablaze with color so come and be a part of it.

I saw a different card on Pinterest using these type squares, and I just loved it. So cool that you used each of the colors on your squares, Mary! Very fun and sure to be a winner with the teenager!
