Our family is going through a big transition now as both of my parents have critical health issues. I am spending most of my time in the hospital or the ER these days and driving 2 hours each way to where my parents live. Needless to say, my creativity is gone. This morning, I went into my craft room and just sat down kind of bracing for when the phone rings. While sitting in my chair, a very strange thought ran through my head. I wonder how much pain a caterpillar goes through when it is turning into a butterfly? The process of transformation is never any easy one so I think that is what was on my mind when I had that thought. So, I decided to play with this Tim Holtz butterfly stamp that has never seen ink. I have no idea why I chose the colors I did because these are very unusual colors for me to play with, but when I was done coloring the butterfly, I really liked it. I decided to stencil the stitched rectangle piece with a Tim Holtz stencil and pistachio pudding ink and that was ok, but a little flat. I found this striped scalloped die in my stash and also this pierced circle die, but the card still needed something. When I pulled in the watermelon wonder cs, then the card came together. Then my brain went ding, ding, ding - I can use this card for this week's alphabet challenge for the letter B for Bold, Beautiful, Butterfly. What a relief. Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

This card is full of lovely details that I am just now taking in. I was focused on the beautiful colors of that butterfly and the white diecut. But now, I am seeing so much more on this wonderful design you have created. What a gorgeous card, Karen.

Boy did this card ever come together! I am so glad you chose colors out of your not usual color selections! This is so gorgeous! I don't know what butterfly those colors would be found on but there has to be one. The combination is just too beautiful to not be a real butterfly! Btw, the background is fabulous as well!
