Anita is hosting this weeks Teaparty along with SCS'r JadeOnline. Heather shared a very sad story with us about Alex in Canada. Young Alex has a long journey ahead, which included a bone marrow transplant.
Anita has challenged us to use an animal from the Chinese zodiac. I am pretending these cute little mice are in fact very small, well dressed rats.
I purchased this cute image from Mo Mannings digital pencil website and printed it on copy paper. Green and brown coloured pencils were used to make the grass. It is not quite the same as the Outdoor Background tutorial at SCS, which is done with Copics.
Everything here was coloured with pencils, and I also used Copics on top of the pencils for their clothes and brolly. I got carried away when I was blending the pencils, which made everything extra waxy, hence the super shiny look where I applied Copics.
Warning: Two Copics were harmed making this card.
To finish off I swished a walnut stain distress ink foam blending tool over the entire image. Adhere to cardbase, using a gluestick - making sure the entire panel has an even layer of glue, this prevents bubbles.
I then stuck on the RAK die-cut frame and added the sentiment (which came with the digi image). I just glued that at one end.
Thank you for looking, I hope our cards will brighten Alex's hospital room.
