Hi, sweet friends! It's me again with another card this week. I used some new DP that I had hoped to use for a baby card (but all boys so far), so I made this card for a sketch challenge for Power Poppy's new Power & Spark Challenge in collaboration with PageMaps.com. I truly struggle with sketches, so this was a good creative stretch for me.
I chose the peonies and used the bitty flower bud to put in the heart shape on the sketch, and I colored it quickly and then die cut everything out. I am surprised that I actually enjoyed doing this one. Perhaps I'll have to try a sketch one of these days.
Thank you so much for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you are keeping warm! It's pretty cool even here in South Florida! Warm hugs, sweet friends!
Stop by my blog for more details and links to the sketches and cards.

Beautiful mix of colors/patterned papers. I thought you did a great job with the sketch, Cheryl. If truth be told, I think many of us struggle with sketch (layouts), I know I do. But you boldly went forward and it looks great!

OMG Cheryl - this one blows me away. As if it's not beautiful enough, you added the flower bud to the heart!!! Does it get any better? I LOVE your colors, papers and beautifully colored flowers. Thanks for the copic colors - not that I could color anything like yours, but it gives me ideas. You should do more sketches. You really did great on this one. In fact, I might just have to use that sketch. Thanks for visiting. I've missed everyone a lot. Time is so limited now days, but I do enjoy it when I can and your gallery always makes me "smile".

Your cards are not only beautiful but they are also flawless! I'm glad you went out of your comfort zone and gave us this gorgeous card to gaze upon. And green and pink is one of my favorite color combos.
