I made this card for this week's Letter M Alphabet challenge. The M's in this card are for Magenta and the markers I used to color these blooms in with. I stamped, colored and sponged this older Stampendous flower image in, then I did not know what to do with it so it ended up in my "someday" pile. I pulled it out one day and decided it should be cut as an oval instead of the square it stamps as. As soon as I cut it, I hated it! It was ruined (I can be dramatic at times) so back on the "someday" pile it went. Eventually, I pulled this out and decided I was going to pull this into a card. I went through all of my dsp and no go. Then I went shopping for dsp in our local town and nothing. So I drove 45 miles north of where I live, and I did buy some dsp. I got the dsp home and I hated it. I was frustrated because I was tired of looking at this flower image. A few days later I got up and just knew what to do. I embossed a piece of vanilla cs then sponged it very lightly with antique linen ink. Then I took an older and smaller bg Anna Griffin stamp I have and stamped it 6 times onto the larger piece of vanilla and created a bg that goes with the embossed piece. Added a piece of lace and put the flower image on top. Done! Whew! Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Oh, the trials we go through sometimes when creating a card. But, your card is beautiful and so are those flowers. Good for you for sticking with this one.

OMGosh, Karen what a lot of blood, sweat, and tears over this lovely, love card! (Your "fits" remind me of myself, plus the traveling thing...lol!) Your final version is FABULOUS...love your Magenta flowers and their beautiful coloring...plus your lovely homemade stamp collage behind your bloom! Looks great on your embossed, distressed bg.

Love your story! I'm always sad to read of someone else's frustrations - cuz I don't want you to struggle. But, it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who will take quite a bit of effort to get something just right on a card. (Sometimes, sometimes I am able to let things go, but not often!) Your card is outstanding! Love the vintage feel!
