So, this is what happens when you check the challenges every day but don't get time to play...you accumulate ideas and then pull them all together! I have never had great success with the acrylic distress technique, but I really focused on the instructions this time and it went better. I think previously that I had missed the part about wiping off excess ink with a wet cloth. When I saw the ways to use it was games, I knew just what ef I wanted to use for the technique. I went with a Pumpkin chalk paint over an embossed Kraft. I really had to sand a lot to get the look I wanted and found that by bending the cs I could get at edges better with the emery board. I also distressed the edges (some by mistake). I used Distress Ink and a blending tool to complete the technique and a damp washcloth to remove the excess. I was wracking my brains deciding how to make a card with this piece and decided that a luck theme went well only I don't really believe in luck! So, I added another lucky element in the 4 leaf clover from 4 little hearts onto a glue dot but used the so very blessed sentiment embossing in clear and copper ep. Today's Mixability Challenge has us adding metal circles....well I had just so happened to open a bottle of vinegar that had the metal seal on top so I carefully cut around it for my BINGO chip. I stamped the ticket then overstamped the "blessed" and fussy cut, distressed and sponged the edges. This is popped up. The base looked too bare so I stamped the Print Pattern in Espresso over it. I also tucked a ticket stub that I crumpled and sponged under my ticket.
