I made this card for the letter E Alphabet Challenge because this is an eclipse card. Can you see the letters Hello in the card and how there is a shadow around each letter like the eclipse of the moon? Fun, right? I saw this technique on a youtube video made with the StampinUp Large letter dies. Well, I do not have those dies so I stayed up all night trying to work out in my head how I could get these letters cut out. I knew I had a cricut cartridge that should work, but I did not know how to center letters, until now. You have to find the center point on your panel and mark it with a pencil, then you move the blade of your cricut to that mark and hit center point, and the cricut cuts those letters out perfectly. I do not have a gypsie nor design space because I have an old cricut so I was a tad disappointed in the size of these letters. However, I had so much fun making this card that in the end, I really do like it. This Altenew stamp set is new to me so I spent quite a bit of time playing with it to find colors I wanted to use on this card. I do love to stamp for the heck of it and the color combinations I end up liking I restamp into an art journal and I write the colors down because who am I kidding, there is no way I will remember this. LOL. I sent this card to a very dear alphabet sister who has been incredibly kind and thoughtful in ways that I can never repay her. She has seen this card so now I can post it. Oh what pretty splashes of color, Karen! Your eclipse Hello turned out so well! I've seen this technique before but have never tried it. I shy away from things that look too difficult...So glad that you didn't though, it's a Beauty~

Gorgeous card!! I know they are not nasturtiums, but your colors and the way that you have stamped give me that feeling. I like how you did the sentiment....there, but not "there".

Wow, you did a magnificent job with this. I will have to skip this technique. It sounds very difficult. You tackled it with great success. Beautiful card!

Oh Karen, this is exquisite! Beautiful colors, love the eclipse technique. I will have to check out that video later. I don't have the letter die cuts either. I think it turned out brilliantly.
