So, today's Free for All has us making up our own National Day of _____________. I declare "Use Up Your Leftovers" day! I periodically sort my scraps and unused images and sentiments into piles by color and try to make cards from the leftover pieces. This was stuff from the neutrals pile! The River Rock bg piece (still one of my all-time favorite colors) has a faint embossed pattern from being used as a sandwich piece when I pressed another in an MBossabilities ef. The Vintage Ladies are not perfectly stamped but I'm using them anyway (time to unmount this one and use it in my MISTI for better images!). I tore them out and used the frame piece on an angle. I had the piece of trim and decided the flowers would make a good accent. They were stamped using the Rock N Roll method so I fussy cut and layered them. I had a foam circle that wasn't sticky anymore but I just used glue dots to use that to pop the flower up over the trim piece. The script piece was on an index card (who knows why) and was over stamped in several places so I just tore a strip. I wanted a bit more of the black but didn't want a black base so I cut the center out of this piece after distressing the edges with a scissors. Fun challenge and I hope to make more !

Wow! I love your National Leftovers day!!! You did a fabulous job putting this together from leftovers! I had a leftovers day I envision mine looking like a kindergarten collage!

Terrific card! Love the lady images & the torn edges. The gold trim & your flower make such a nice eclectic mix. Great idea on sorting left-overs. Thanks for sharing; I'll have to give it a try!

I just love your idea to use left-overs (especially imperfect leftovers) to make a card and this one is a beauty. Just goes to show how a whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. All of your imperfect elements came together to make a perfect card.
