This is for my wonderful DD sis Cheryl's DTGD challenge.
Depending on the image you are colouring, sometimes photocopy paper looks even better that cardstock.
To get a slightly textured feel, I sat the photocopy paper print on top of a 'rough-tooth" paper pad. I have found with the Prismacolour Pencils, I get different effects depending what I am resting the paper on.
To get a very smooth finish, I just sit the printed image on top of 4 or 5 sheets of copy paper. One on the other great things about printing images on copy paper is the ease of fussy cutting.
LOL I just noticed that I didn't finish fussy cutting. The easy fix for this is to colour the white paper in the same colour as the background.
I recently purchased a product called Zest It. It's used for blending coloured pencils. It works like Gamsol, but it is "desk friendly". It comes in a plastic pot, filled with a sponge that is impregnated with a lemon scented blending solution. It's made in the UK.

Oh my Susie this is delightful! Love this image and love how you used it. Great job with the fussy cutting and that little girl looks like she has a really big secret she needs to tell her friend. Love the wonderful coloring. Now I am going to need to try my pencils on different surfaces. Beautiful job!

Jaw drop! I regret I missed this charming card when it came through the gallery, but I sure am glad I am seeing it now. I am stunned that you colored this image with colored pencils because it looks like you used copic markers on this. The hair! I cannot stop looking at the hair on these girls- it is glorious! Thank you for explaining in detail how you used copy paper with other paper underneath it for your coloring. I will certainly be looking up this Zest It. I stopped using colored pencils because I do not want to use the Gamsol anymore. The colors you used and the depth of color you achieved on this image are amazing. I love the tone on tone look of it too! Congratulations on this card winning the Favorites category- it is a true "Susie Masterpiece!" ~Karen.
