I stamped the hardwood background stamp in Early Espresso on Soft Suede. Then, to simulate the chocolate chips in the pin, I randomly stamped the dots from Timeless Textures with Early Espresso and colored them with Wink of Stella for sparkle.
Yesterday Priscilla's beautiful card in the gallery said, "When in doubt, put a bird on it." (Here is the link to her card: MIX232 When In Doubt by catluvr2 at Splitcoaststampers) So I decided to punch a bird from a color burst background I had. A circle element from Swirly Scribbles thinlits and I was almost done. My oldest DD said it should be a get well card. So, after stamping the sentiment many times in Early Espresso, I stamped again with Versamark and clear embossed it. She was also the one who selected Pool Party for the card base.
Thanks for looking.

I agree with your comment that a bird is good anytime, Catherine! Love the beautiful shades of blue you used and the glitter in the green, wonderful card!

Simply lovely! Wood paneled background is so rich with its texture sparkles...such a great addition. That glimmer green is a GREAT contrast against the dark paneling and the bright blue birdie. Love your stash of blue color burst paper you use created and used for your bird...such a BEAUTIFUL piece!
