This is for Cathy's Sketch Challenge. I thought the four sections would be good for portraying the four seasons of the year. I printed the sketch on cardstock and cut it out to be masks for the different areas. I utilized an oldie but goodie retired stamp set - Seasons of Friendship. All the stamps are from that set (except for the sentiment in the circle). The seasons are in calendar order, which I thought worked best with the tree: Winter - snowflakes in the sky, Spring - new leaves & flowers, Summer - full foliage for summer shade, Autumn - colorful leaves at the base of the tree. The top panel is all stamped on one layer and put on a card base. The white line between sections was masked. I moved my sentiment up into the design. I stamped the sentiment from the Season of Friendship set three times using the first three background colors, cut it apart, layered on Chocolate Chip CS, then adhered a piece in each area. Used one of the autumn colors for the sentiment in the circle. My card reads: The season for friendship lasts forever; I'm here for you. TFL.
