About 95% of the homes in El Paso are Stucco (a few brick homes for variety but NO wood) so all the neighborhoods here tend to be done in earthtones! This was the perfect challenge because I needed a card for a housewarming party this weekend!!
I laid in my cloudy sky using the SU cloud stencil and chalks applied with a cotton ball. Then die cut the neighborhood twice from several scraps of beige parchment and added bits of color & shadows with watercolor. I layered these for a little more stability & dimension and adhered with Elmers Flex glue.

As soon as I opened this I said to myself, "This reminds me of the houses in Southern California." We lived there for 3 years and owned a house similar to the one on the left. Beautiful puffy clouds and Beautiful coloring of your stucco houses!
