This is for RobinÂ’s fun Free for All challenge. We are celebrating all things Mary Poppins this week, you can check it out here .
The ombre background is from a 6” x 6” paper pad, I think it is by Authentique, it is grey ombre on this side and brown with white spots on the otherside. I carefully centred the Umbrella Man die, what you see here is the negative.
Before I adhered the ombre paper negative to a black leather grain card base, I stamped on the rain drops with iced spruce distress ink and MISTI. The little penguin is a die-cut and the sentiment is by Unity Stamps.
This is positively CAS by my standards. I couldnÂ’t help myself from adding something extra so I added a little bit of white pencil and pen here and there.
Thank you for looking and I hope you have some time to get inky and join in the challenge.

Awesome sistah Susie!! I love the umbrella man for this...he totally reminds me of Dick Van Dyke as the chimney sweep. Love the penguin too, they were a big part of the day out (in the paintings I think). I loved the dance that Dick did with the penguins scene in Mary Poppins!
This is so fantastic mate! Thanks for making this wonderful sample for the challenge!

Brilliant, Susie - and it chimes with the miserably wet grey day here - give me your umbrella man and penguin any day! I must think about this, I love the film but would have to think about how to interpret it. Your take is just brilliant!

This is such an artsy, cool card, Susie. The ombre grey over stamped with the water drops is the perfect bg for umbrella man. How cleaver to use tge negstive.
Fabulous card, so artistic! I've studied your card and love the white touches you've added. It really adds depth and dimension and brings the images to life! Love it all, Susie!!
