I've been in the mood to play with gilding flakes which are pretty sparkly and shiny! So got them out for this challenge.
One of my favourite (and one of the easiest) ways to use it is to take some cs, cover it with double-sided tape, peel off the protective paper from the tape, and then add the gilding flakes, pressing them well into the tape until no tape is exposed and rubbing off the excess. You end up with a wonderful piece for die-cutting or backgrounds.
I used a mostly silver jar of gilding flakes here and from my piece, I die cut some ornaments. I used one on this card.
I chose silver and copper shimmery cs (somewhere between sparkly and shiny!) - the colours went well with the colours in the gilding flakes. I dry embossed the copper piece, and used the silver piece for the card base and to die cut the word "sparkle" (how perfect for this challenge to have a die that says that!!).
