Ryan is 9 and asked if he could participate in the tag challenge. That huge smile is one I get to see the entire time heÂ’s crafting here. He has the utmost patience when crafting. He started by using the acetate smooshing technique, a favorite of everyone here. When dry he chose the candle to inlay but wanted to use various media to do it. He cut the candle into his tag. He burned his own copper and cut another candle from that. Next he chose white shimmer sheets for the candle and finally leafing for the ribbon. He colored his flame blue. It still needed something so he went through the dies and chose these holly leaves to add which he cut from scraps of burnt copper. He stamped his sentiment and embossed in copper. He added one red nailhead for a holly berry. He added the SU copper cording which is now retired. Thanks for looking.

I love your neutral soft colors Ryan and how you added a bright blue flame...really pops! All your extra embellishments really made your tag perfectly balanced. Thanks Nancy for posting Ryan's artsy tag :-) Hugs, Nancy

It's hard to believe this beautiful tag was made by a 9-yr old boy! What artistic talent....and he already has a very developed sense of design. A WOW!
