I was inspired by the colors and the glow of this image here.
I splattered masking fluid and then let dry. Then I masked for the snowdrifts and moon, sponging, stamping, and moving masks as I went. After removing all masks, I stamped the sentiment and sponged more around the edges to frame the image a bit. I even tried stamping a shadow for the trees for the first time and I think it worked out pretty well. After rubbing off the masking fluid (creating snow), I didn't think there was enough snow falling, so then I splattered some additional diluted white acrylic paint. LOVE, love making these types of scenes.

Oh my gosh, how I love this stellar scene! A moonlit snow covered landscape is my favorite part of winter. This is ahhh-mazing! You captured the color essence of your inspiration so beautifully, Maura!

Maura, this is an outstanding wintry scene! I'm so impressed with the snow and snowdrifts; they are remarkable! The beautiful trees, pines, deer, and outstanding moon with a shadow are fantastic. This card is print worthy, my friend!! Love it, Maura!!
