TGIF ... haven't heard that in a long time, have you? Well, it is TGIF for me because we've been presented with 2 great challenges. Dina's MIX168 calls for double matting and Jeanne's calls for a birthday card.
I hope, for those that have daughters-in-law, you love your DIL as much as I do. From day one, I knew this girl was special. I am truly blessed to have this very special woman in my life.
I assume you might be wondering why the face of this card doesn't resemble a typical birthday image. I couldn't find a better image to tell Jessica how much she means to me. Thus, I opted to use a great I Brake For Stamp's LOVE image.
I did a water color wash in cobalt blue. I embossed with fine silver powder when dry. Added a very special pearl (to me) flower and some leaves and that was that.
Have a great weekend everyone. May you find love in all the right places as I have.

Anne, this is truly a beautiful and special card you have made for your DIL, I am sure she will treasure this! My son and his fiance are getting married in October and we could not be more delighted with our future DIL ~

The cobalt blue is beautiful and the background stamp is very nice for a special birthday card. The pearls are a nice unexpected touch that make this a fancy card too! TFS!
