Hello everyone,
I used a piece of scrap from the Color Burst bg I cut a tag out of yesterday (lucky for me, I never throw anything pretty away, heehee) It had gone into my tub of "too small" for anything but die cutting box.
My trees I did-I stamped and gold embossed my large bg design and then placed a piece of gold foil over it and ran it through my lamenator (the reason I bought it but never had the nerve to try it, heehee). It "lamenated the gold foil onto the design because of the embossing getting hot again and becoming sticky. I then fit three trees from my Sue Wilson set onto it and die cut it. I embossed it from behind with my stylist.
I found another small scrap of gold mirror paper and die cut the star from Memory Box.
I left everything else so that it would be CAS looking, (I did think about embossing the bg).
So, I hope I understood right about the rags...two techniques (Color Burst bg and Foiling) and using something that would normally go in the trash (if you don't save every scrap like me!) and the CAS was to have tree/trees on the card, the trimming part is the gold foil.
Thanks for looking!

Holy Smokes! This is so beautiful and unique. I love, love it.
BTW, I could live in my log cabin house I did today, too....if it could be close to the city. Ha

Holly molly, Robin, this is just so elegant and gorgeoous. You really could sell your cards in an upscale store. Your cold trees are so pretty against the beautiful blue bg. Just amazing.
