For today's MIX147 In Abundance challenge. I have an abundance of rain - just like real life, so I will take a better photo tomorrow when it's brighter. And I used the Layered Gesso Background tutorial, so I have an abundance of layers of paint and gesso.
I gessoed my base, then stamped the flourishes, then painted over everything with blue and green acrylics. Then I added gesso in downward strokes.
The bird is paper-pieced, with two layers of UTEE on the boots, and the umbrella popped up.
I used clear texture paste with the raindrop stencil and sprinkled three colours of glitter over. To finish I added a black marker border, and a silver-edged cloud with the sentiment, popped up on foam.

CUTE card! Like your bkgrd and bird in his red polka dotted rain boots. Neat glittery raindrops, too. Sorry to hear about your flooding. Hope the rain is tapering off by now. Currently, we are having our first snow storm. Sure hope we don't get the max that is forecast which is 8"! It'd be nice to "ease" into it.

Please don't take your organs to heaven - heaven knows we need them here.
We'd like for you to share some of your abundance of rain with us in California. I am off to look at the gesso tutorial. I very much like your layering and fun details, especially the shiny boots:-)

I do not know how you did those raindrops - but they are great and I love the chickadee, all down in an umbrella and boots - such a cool card!
