I started this in the morning but had to leave to go to Hotel Transylvania 2 with my nephews. The card is somewhat inspired by that movie theme and this painting . It's probably a good thing I finished it this afternoon as it required some drying time and I'm not all that patient. I used a tree ef on a brushos bg (btw-the color on this is so hard to capture..the bg is a lot more purple..the camera picked out more pinks and white for the bg, and the leaves are a much deeper and truer royal purple). I mixed some modeling paste with re-inker to create the purple leaves..the tree is pewter liquid pearls that I applied with my finger and then went over with stickles to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking..I wish I could get a better picture but after about 25 tries I'm done!

A mixed-media masterpiece. I love way you've placed these elements, with the tree and sentiment off to one side. And I'm impressed that you got that tree to sparkle using Liquid Pearls and Stickles and then used modeling paste for the leaves. You are so creative.
How well I know the feeling of frustration when a card refuses to give up a good photo! That's why I adopted my Six-And-Done policy. But you've done better than you think, because your card is clearly fab!

Super, fantastic card, Polly. It must be amazing IRL because it looks great in the photo. Wonderful combination of mediums...especially how you made the tree. The dyed cheesecloth looks awesome. Such a creative halloween card. ? You ard the best Aunt ever...you do so much with your nephews.
