Happy Tuesday everyone. Here is my card for today's teapot challenge - MMTPT371 Blue chip we beseech thee - connections are just key
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Make a card that creates or fosters a connection to someone who feels isolated.
EPEC ~ (EXTRA POINTS FOR EXTRA COOKIES!)
Surf, sand, trains, cars and video games - use a theme that would help a teen boy feel connected.
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Palm Bay, Florida. If you need a destination for your card, how about 14 year old Anthony? Anthony is the son of Lexant, and his plight was brought to our attention by our very own etsdas.
This is also for our newest featured stamper - Maria Patrick - here is her card that inspired me Autumn is second Spring
I stamped Snoopy and his chopper with memento black ink. Coloured the image with Copic markers. I masked the image and sponged on the hills using Certainly celery and Old Olive inks. Stamped on the trees, sponged in the clouds. Stamped on the sentiment and coloured in the image with a light purple copic marker. Coloured in the pavement. Added the outline around the image panel. matted with black, grey and textured grey card stock. The bottom grey panel lower edge was torn and distressed with sand paper.
Thanks for looking
Hugs..Pat

Super cute card, Pat! Like the Snoopy image, one of my fav of Dyan's sentiments, coloring, scene, torn paper mat, distressing, line border ... a great design. Sure to bring Anthony a smile.

I like a lot about this card!
the contrast between the sharp snoopy against the colored bg.
the drawn border line that ties in the sentiment style
the torn egdge layer at the bottom

I love the dimension you achieved with your masking Pat - I genuinely believed that Snoopy was cut out! Your BG scene and doodles are wonderful. What a perfect card for Anthony, he is going to love this! Thank you so much for coming to his teaparty...you and Snoopy deserved extra cookies, so pile on! Big hugs from New Jersey.

You know I'm going to love this - what a beautiful setting you've created for Snoopy and Woodstock, Pat - and a great quote too. DH and his friends had a lovely sunny (shock) ride in the Wicklow mountains the other Saturday.
